the 2016 Estate Cuvée is one of the most refined wines I have tasted from Kapcsándy
an amazing terraced amphitheater planted with very old Garnacha vines on chalky soils at higher altitude in Montsant
in fact so much so that the finish reminds me a bit of a classic Chablis in terms of how the wine is built around its minerality
gentle grip with a persistent tarry finish that suggests that it needs more bottle age
Croix Figeac Vintage:2011 the 2016 Estate Cuvée isSoft, juicy blueberry and raspberry fruit, a hint of cherries, spice and earth are all present in this medium bodied, supple textured, fleshy style of wine that is not terribly complex, but offers hedonistic pleasure in a medium bodied, round, succulent style. A sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 7 8 years.
